AttachmentDecoder

Struct AttachmentDecoder

Source
pub struct AttachmentDecoder { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Parses a protobuf envelope across arbitrary chunk boundaries.

Apply every event returned by push to a temporary content sink, in order, before the next call. Reset truncates the sink to zero and rewinds it. The decoder retains only bounded metadata, not content bytes.

Implementations§

Source§

impl AttachmentDecoder

Source

pub fn new() -> Self

Source

pub fn push<'a>( &mut self, input: &'a [u8], ) -> Result<Vec<ContentChunk<'a>>, AttachmentError>

Return ordered content events. Byte slices borrow from this input chunk. Repeated content fields in one input chunk keep only the last field.

Source

pub fn finish<R: Read + Seek, W: Write>( self, source: &mut R, output: &mut W, ) -> Result<DecodedMeta, AttachmentError>

Validate metadata and, when needed, decompress the temporary content.

source reads the content slices written by push. output receives decompressed bytes only when compression is present. Neither sink is published until this function and GCM authentication both succeed.
